Brazilian Independence Day is a celebration of culture, history and heritage. This outdoor event provides guests with authentic Brazilian cuisine, musical performances, children’s activities and educational opportunities.
Part of our drive to celebrate the Brazilian Independence Day is to promote the Brazilian culture with both an entertaining and also an educational program by exploring the traditional customs of Brazil and its many cultural influences throughout everyday life.
We would like to invite the community to this cultural event that will be held on Saturday, September 10th from 4:00pm to 11:00pm at Capitol – Midtown Houston, 2415 Main St, Houston, TX 77002.
Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to not only watch and listen to live music, but also participate in performances, play instruments, and learn about the cultural diversity and rich folklore of Brazil.
Whether the audience come to dance or hang out with friends and celebrate, everyone is guaranteed an incredible experience of music, dance, art and culture immersed in the energy of Brazil!
Brazilian Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization focused on Education, Information, Culture and Arts.

A children’s corner with Face Painting, Games, Magician, Coloring, and Drum circle.
